Backstory: when I was in grade school I used to enjoy writing in cursive. It wasn’t until 3rd grade or so when a boy leaned over my bus seat and what he said affected the way I would write as an adult.

These paintings are a reflection of what I used to enjoy and about two years ago found myself slowly incorporating the written language into my work as a way to explore the beauty of the letter ‘L’ (el).
